Wedding magazines! You can find them at newsagents and online too! Everyone loves flicking through them or scrolling down, admiring the stunning wedding dresses and picking up useful tips for weddings. This is hardly surprising, as a wedding raises a huge number of questions – from choosing a dress and selecting service providers to finding the right honeymoon destination. In Hungary, the culture of high-quality wedding magazines is becoming increasingly widespread; these days, there are plenty of magazines and websites available if you’d like to read up on this topic.

In the following, we will look at the various domestic and international wedding magazines available, their main focus and their respective strengths.
Domestic wedding magazines
Newspapers
Big Day wedding magazine
The magazine approaches the subject of weddings as if it were itself a newly engaged, awestruck bride.

Big Day, as the name suggests, prepares you for the big day, but it’s not just for the bride; it also involves family, friends and acquaintances – in short, everyone who is, in one way or another, getting ready for a wedding.
The magazine publishes a new issue every quarter, and each one explores a different topic of particular importance. The magazine has been available since 2015; its first issue focused on the theme of party and ceremony venues , the next issue showcased beauty trends, and those that followed all dealt with exciting and important wedding-related topics.
Classic Wedding
This is a truly high-quality magazine, covering everything from choosing a venue, through beauty tips and diets, to the organisation of the wedding itself – every aspect of weddings is covered. The latest issue has just hit the shelves, and its main topics are creative decorations, sensible wedding planning and finding your own style.

The magazine, alongside the print edition it is also available as a website, where you can also browse through loads of interesting articles! The number of articles here is practically endless, so rather than listing them all, why not have a look for yourself and choose the topic you’d like to find out more about?.
Queen’s wedding

Ideas, inspiration, exhibitions and everything else to do with weddings – that’s Queen magazine!
You can also read the magazine’s issues online at issuu.com:
In the latest issue, you can read about wedding rings, this year’s hottest styles and decorating ideas!
Queen Wedding Magazine also operates as a website, featuring a wealth of interesting articles; one of the site’s major advantages is the ‘Request a Quote’ tab. On the Queen Wedding website, you can request quotes from hundreds of wedding suppliers for a wide range of services – all at the click of a button! It’s well worth a try!
Wedding Trend magazine

The *Esküvő Trend* magazine is Hungary’s best-selling publication on this subject.
As always, the magazine’s website features some excellent articles – it’s well worth having a browse – and the magazine has also launched its digital Wedding Trends section! This is a downloadable issue that we can even browse on our mobile phones. This issue is not the same as the physically published copy, so it should be regarded as extra reading material! 😀
It’s well worth buying the newspaper – it explores some really interesting topics!
Online wedding magazines
Habosbabos.hu

This magazine has a really lovely design and is packed with articles. It really is! We’ve had a proper browse through the site and there’s hardly a wedding topic that the editors haven’t thought of and turned into a brilliant article.
The site is also extremely detailed; for example, among their latest articles, you can read about bridal gloves, men’s tailors and suit shops, as well as honeymoon accommodation on the island of Malta. This is particularly impressive because, whilst there are plenty of websites that write about wedding topics, very few devote an entire article to, say, gloves, even though someone might be looking for information on just that!
Here’s the magazine – let’s get stuck into it, because it’s certainly packed with content!
Wedding World
There’s plenty to read here too; what’s more, under the ‘Organisation’ tab, you can search for wedding venues and various service providers. Each venue and service provider is accompanied by a brief description, which can help you select only those that are right for you, or at least rule out straight away those that are completely unsuitable for your needs!
When it comes to their wedding-themed articles, we’d like to highlight their attention to timing! Among their latest articles are „Snowy Wedding”, „Minimoon” and „Eco-Friendly Hen Party”! These are all very apt, as anyone currently organising a winter wedding can find useful information here, whilst those with a summer wedding can can start planning their honeymoon, and in today’s world, an environmentally conscious lifestyle is certainly extremely important – even when it comes to a hen party! The planning deserves five stars!

Back to the „Minimoon” article! The term ‘minimoon’ is derived from ‘honeymoon’ and refers to a shorter version of this, lasting just a few days, which has recently burst onto the scene. For those on a tighter budget, this is a brilliant idea, as it means you don’t have to miss out on the long-awaited honeymoon, whilst still staying within your budget! It’s an interesting article – you can read it here!
Secret Stories by Daalarna

A Secret Stories is the Daalarna brand’s blog, created to showcase what our capital city has to offer in the fields of wedding planning, bridal fashion and wedding culture as a whole. Anita Benes, Daalarna’s head designer, hopes that readers will be inspired by the world of weddings whilst also discovering Budapest’s hidden treasures.
Secret Stories, just like the Daalarna brand – known for its dazzling wedding and occasion wear – is exceptionally sophisticated, inspiring and imaginative. Its articles, packed with interesting and useful tips, are presented in a beautiful setting! The magazine is also a great advertisement for Budapest; in fact, it discusses why it is becoming increasingly common for foreign couples to choose our capital as the venue for their wedding. One of our favourite articles is on a similar topic – do have a read!
One of the great things about the Secret Stories wedding magazine is that it’s extremely interactive; you can read interviews with women wearing „Daalarna dresses” – that is, those who have chosen this brand for their wedding. It’s a really exciting approach! In addition, it features „real weddings”, where once again the brides in Daalarna dresses and their partners take centre stage. Each article features a single wedding, where the couples share their personal experiences and, of course, the brides talk about their relationship with their Daalarna dresses.
This website is definitely worth a click if you’re searching for wedding-related content online!
Incidentally, Secret Stories in 2018 it has also launched a magazine that can be bought in physical form, in which Daalarna writes about wedding collections, wedding gift ideas, honeymoon destinations and exciting photo shoot locations.
