What do you need for a vintage garden wedding?
The more trees, the better!
These could even be pallets – you don’t need to go for the most expensive options. Use these wooden elements to furnish your garden, creating seating areas and spots for a chat. You can even serve snacks on the pallets.
TIPS: Paint the pallets! They can really liven up the overall look! You can also use the pallets standing on end. You can write instructions on the slats, or paint the wedding schedule onto them.
Use small wooden ladders. Place flowers, pictures or any other decorative items on the rungs! And don’t skimp on the flowers! The more flowers there are, the more vintage a wedding feels! 🙂
Make the most of the items you have at home!
You can place food and drink on the pallets, and you can also arrange decorative items on them. You can serve drinks in all sorts of creative ways. Do you have loads of glass bottles? Fill them with lemonade!
Paint a wheelbarrow and fill it with ice! It’s an excellent alternative for serving beer and other bottled drinks best enjoyed cold. Incidentally, an old flower box or a colourful bucket would work just as well for this purpose.
Make a welcome sign for your guests out of a wooden board! Attach the board to a bicycle and voilà – it’s instantly vintage! If the bike has a basket, put some flowers in it – this will make it even more attractive and „vintage”! You can also attach other directional signs to the bikes; for example, you could use them to mark the way to the dance floor and the food bar.
